How to Split Screen on Windows 10 with Keyboard Shortcut and Snap Assist

“Windows” always offers a multitasking environment for its users. So you can run several applications simultaneously and quickly switch between them.

For example, you may open a web browser to browse the internet, Microsoft Word to type a document, Microsoft Outlook to manage your emails and even a game to play at once. To switch among these windows, you can use traditional methods like Alt+Tab or resizing the windows. But there is a better option than them. It is splitting with Snap Assist.

Microsoft has made its snapping mechanism more effective in Windows 10. With the latest version of Windows 10, you can split your PC’s screen into several windows. Moreover, this splitting feature supports higher-resolution displays as well as multiple monitors.

Note: This guide is only for the full version of Windows 10 not for Windows 10X that is designed for dual-screen devices such as Surface Duo. Because there is no need to manually split screen in such devices, they are natively designed for achieving that purpose.
