Do you know that there is a method to find your iPhone when it’s lost, and its battery is dead? You only have to enable one option on your phone. By enabling it you can monitor your phone’s last location though its battery is dead or not.
Let’s go step by step.
- Enable “Find My iPhone”
- Go to Settings.
- Tap on iCloud.
- Tap on “Find My iPhone”.
- Switch on the toggle button next to the Find My iPhone.
- Enable “Send Last Location” by switching on the toggle button next to the “Send Last Location” option under the iCloud.
That’s it. Now when your iPhone’s battery is badly low, the location of your phone will be automatically sent to Apple. You can access that location by checking “Find My iPhone” on any internet-enabled device.
If your phone has been offline for more than 24 hours then your phone will have a grey dot when you check out the last location of your phone on iCloud.com. If it was online a short while ago, then it would show as a green dot. You can also view its last online time.
This way, you can find your lost or misplaced iPhone when its battery is dying.
