How to Connect Apple Airpods to an Android Device

Though Apple AirPods are mainly created for Apple OS they can pair with any device with Bluetooth enabled. Because they have standard Bluetooth transceivers as well as similar protocols.

So if you have an Android phone and your friend has gifted you an Apple AirPods, you can easily pair them with your phone without worrying. But you will not have all the features that you would have with an Apple device. Below are some features of AirPods that you can not have with your Android device.

  • Siri
  • AirPods battery indicator

But by downloading and installing the Assistant Trigger app you can have alternatives for the missing features.

Setting up AirPods with Apple devices is pretty easy. The only thing you have to do is put AirPods aside your device. When you open the case lid of AirPods your Apple device will automatically prompt you to connect with AirPods without any buttons pressed. But in Android, you have to pair it manually.
