Open a web browser (e.g., Google Chrome, Windows Explorer, Safari, Firefox) on your PC.

Go to www.instagram.com > Sign in to your Instagram profile.

Click on the ‘Profile’ icon on the top right corner of the horizontal menu bar.

This would take you to your profile page with posts and photos you published. If you are curious to verify whether you can delete posts similarly as you are on your phone, click on the post you wish to delete, and click on the ‘More’ button to display the pop-up menu with options such as ‘Go to Post,’ ‘Share’, ‘Copy Link’, ‘Embed’, and ‘Cancel’. But, with no ‘Delete’ option. For the workaround to delete posts, follow the steps listed below.

Right-click on the page and select ‘Inspect’ from the menu. This will open a Developer Console on your browser.

Click the ‘Toggle device toolbar’ icon on the top horizontal menu bar on the console.
This will set the desktop view of Instagram to a mobile view. Thereby, now you have the freedom to delete posts on the PC, as you usually do on your phone.

Choose your preffered mobile phone type/ model.

Select the type of mobile phone you own, or you are most familiar with, from the drop-down menu on top of the Instagram browser page.

Now, reload the Instagram profile page.

Click the reload button on the top left corner of web page.

Click on the post you want to delete and click on the ‘More’ button.

Now, you can see the ‘Delete’ option on the pop-up menu. Select ‘Delete’. Confirm the deletion by clicking on the ‘Delete’ button on the pop-up message.

Delete Instagram posts using BlueStacks

BlueStacks is an emulator software that allows you to run Android applications on your Windows PC or Mac. This app has mainly developed for running Android gaming apps on your computer. But it lets you install and run any other Android apk files as well. Moreover, BlueStacks is free to download.

Step 1: Download and install BlueStacks to your computer from the setup file available to download on www.bluestacks.com.

NOTE: BlueStacks is supported on Windows 7 or above, and Mac OS 10.12 or above.

Step 2: Launch BlueStacks > Go to the Home Screen > Search ‘Instagram’ on the Search bar. This will navigate you to Google Play Store.

Step 3: Sign in to the Google Play Store by entering your credentials. Download and install Instagram to the emulator.

Step 4: Launch Instagram on your BlueStacks emulator. Log in to Instagram with your user credentials.

Step 5: On your Instagram home screen, click on the profile icon on the top left corner of the horizontal menu bar and select ‘Profile’ from the drop-down menu.

Step 6: Now, click on a photo or post you want to delete. Click on the ‘More’ icon in the upper right corner of the image.

Step 7: On the pop-up menu, select ‘Delete’. Confirm your deletion if a pop-up message prompts afterward.

You can repeat the steps 6 and 7 to delete multiple unwanted posts, as your desire.

Delete Instagram posts from Windows 10 Instagram app

However, if you’re using a Windows PC and your PC’s OS version is Windows 10 or above, you have an easy option. Instagram team has developed and published an Instagram Windows 10 app to Microsoft Store. Therefore, you can enjoy all the mobile features of the Instagram app through this Windows Instagram app as well.

Step 1: Launch Microsoft Store on your Windows PC. Type ‘Instagram’ on the search bar and select the ‘Instagram App’ from the suggestions list.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Get’ button and download the Windows Instagram app.

Step 3: Click on the ‘Launch’ button once the download is completed.

This will launch the Instagram login page.

Step 4: Enter your Instagram login credentials to log in to your account.

Step 5: Follow step 5, step 6, and step 7 under the section ‘Delete Instagram posts using BlueStacks’ to delete Instagram posts you wish.

The Final trial: Delete your Instagram account

What if you really feel you have had enough whale of a time on social media and now you want to fully commit to your professional life or start all-new with a brand-new image on social media! Then the ultimate step would be to delete your current Instagram account.
