How to Add The Hibernate Mode to The Windows 10 Start Menu

When you open the start menu in Windows 10, you can not find the hibernate option in the power button menu in default. But you can manually add it to the power button menu. In this article, we will guide you step by step on enabling hibernate mode on your Windows 10 PC. Let’s jump into the steps.

Step 1.  Go to the Power Options in the control panel. To go to the power options you can follow one of the below methods.

Method 1
i. Open Control Panel.
ii. Go to the Hardware and Sound->Power Options.

Method 2
i. Type “power options” in the search box.
ii. Hit Enter or select the topmost option from the result.

Method 3
i. Launch Cortana and say “Hey Cortana. Launch power options”.

Step 2. Click on the “Choose what the power buttons do” from the left column.

Step 3.  Click on the “Change settings that are currently unavailable”.

Step 4.  You can find shutdown options that are editable now. Check the box before the Hibernate option. Save the settings.

Now you can find the Hibernate option in the power button menu inside the start menu.

If you want to remove the Hibernate option from the power button menu, then just uncheck that checkbox.
